3. lacking serious intent; concerned with something nonessential, amusing, or frivolous: a facetious person.
I rant. I use all caps. I snark. I am fond of hyperbole and exaggeration. I am very strange. If you cannot understand sarcasm, I suggest you don't friend me. :P
I am Christian. I am also a moderate with leftist leanings. I believe Jesus was a liberal, even a radical, a proponent of change for the better, who believed in treating everyone well, regardless of personal life choices or situations. He himself told us not to judge, and I try very hard not to. Sometimes I fail. I also love science, and believe in evolution. The two are not mutually exclusive at all. Religion is about Who did it, and how He wants us to proceed, and science is about how it was done. I just want you to try to imagine Moses trying to explain evolutionary theory to a bunch of freed Egyptian slaves, trying to survive in the desert. Yeah, it wasn't going to work. Hence Genesis, which explained the important things, at least for freed slaves trying to survive in the desert: that there is Hope, and Someone looking out for them. How he created the world and the species wasn't important at the time.
My most incredible moments of faith, the moments that make me cry at how amazing God is, and how amazing He has made humanity, are more often than not actually related to science. The Hubble, Asimo, the Universe, comparing my hand to the hand of an ape, the nuclear bomb, the fact that we can talk to people halfway across the world in seconds.
I think too much. This journal is currently public, because I am too lazy to make it friends only and I don't post anything all that personal anymore. Just stuff like the above. I read CNN during work too much.
Also, I play way too many video games.
